Grooming is the ultimate experience for all pets who come here to indulge. A calm, relaxed, and friendly atmosphere is what you and your pet will find during your visit to The Barking Basement. High-quality products are used to give them the softest fur, conditioned skin, and a beautiful look that helps them look and feel their very best. We treat each client with a gentle touch and cater to our seniors as well as the young. All sizes and breeds are welcome, we offer professional grooming with a touch of Reiki.
Full Groom Brush out, nail clipping, ear cleaning, clipping between pads, bathing, conditioning, blow-drying, style cut.
Basic Bath or Brush Out also available.

Breed prices vary with size and condition of fur. Ideally, an excellent coat condition requires grooming every 6-8 weeks.
We also carry a wonderful variety of supplies including Red Sox collars/leashes, Yankees collars/leashes, regular leashes/collars, shampoos & conditioners, nail care, brushes, combs, de-shedding tools, training treats, greenies, biscuits, tennis balls, various nylabones, bully sticks, elk jerky, and cat toys!
An additional fee would apply for dogs: whose coats are matted; who are difficult, or patterns and clips requiring complete hand scissoring. Additional time fee will apply to trim styles which are not kept professionally maintained (6-8 weeks) due to the length of time required to scissor in the pattern, comb out/shave matting.

Reiki helps to heal the spirit by bringing animals back into a state of trust and connection.

All animals can be helped with Reiki healing. Sharing Reiki with animals is an effective way of assisting them with physical, emotional and behavioral problems. It is a gentle yet effective way of animal healing and understanding.
If our own awareness was as loving as the horse or the loyal dog, maybe we could fulfill the true evolution of mankind- that of the heart!
The modern day domestic animal has a lot to contend with. Finding their natural ground in what can be an unnatural environment for their species.
The pressure of finding this balance can sometimes be too much, affecting the animal on a number of different levels, causing behavioral and physical problems.
Animals respond quickly to the ease that Reiki produces on these levels. Often harmonizing seemingly difficult or impossible attitudes and conditions.
